Remember this? Just cleaning up the house in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and came across this. Thanks again Jim for finding a home for us wayward souls
I don't suppose there are any records remaining, but I was one of the first 3-4 guys on the SRO site way, way back in the beginning when we got frustrated with the uncontrolled Boat/US forum.
Over the ensuing 10 or so years, I've made some great friends on both sites, so thank you Jeremy and Jim. Thanks also, Brian, for yet one more reminder that I am getting old!
I came from SRO as well, was a member there for several years, have the SRO flag and a SRO floating key chain. Joined here on 10-03-2006. I too say thanks to Jeremy and Jim.
Whenever you need a reminder, just let Rick or me know - we're here to help!
I've only been on the site a few years now, but I've been a boater since I was a child. Somehow, I never discovered this site, or the SRO site. But, like the rest of you, I find it a great place to meet new friends, and help fellow boaters. Hopefully, we'll all be here for many more years....
I just went to archive.org and searched for www.searayowners.com and found some archived pages, even found that I joined there Oct 11, 2004, there is still some info in the archives.
When the old SRO site closed up I was among the multitude to make it over here to CSR. Jim really stepped up to the plate to provide us the bandwidth we needed as this site grew to be one of the largest and best boating forums on the net. I would guess that between SRO and CSR I have been around for roughly nine years now. Here is one the old SRO Flags I had on my 240 Sundeck.
Many thanks to Jim for providing this site and to Jeremy as well for the old SRO site.
Maybe Todd has some left over from the last time he took orders for the Sea Ray decals. I know I got one on the first time and then another the second time that I put up for future use. I also got a CSR decal when they were made.
Also from Oct 2006... I remember the days when we lost SRO.
Found CSR through google. Than we send a lot of the others a message that we found a new home. Thanks Jim!
I was one of the first SRO members, joining on Feb 6, 2004...........Jeremy decided the problems weren't worth the hassle and took the site down in late September 2006.
