I also joined the SRO site after purchasing my 280. I was and still am learning many things about her and other things as well. I remember when the site went down and thinking, omg what do I do now. I also thank Jim for his efforts and giving us the great forum we have here today.

I've been around for awhile, not here as much as I used to be. I think Go First Class (GFC) suggested that I check out SRO back then. What a great find, and then it vanished. Then CSR came along, reunited with a lot of the SRO crowd. What a knowledge base to draw from...and then came the green balls....ah yes, those green balls.

I was one of the first SRO members, joining on Feb 6, 2004...........Jeremy decided the problems weren't worth the hassle and took the site down in late September 2006.
Frank. I was quick to follow (3/27/04) I, along with many, were all waiting to find a safe harbor from the few idiots who ruled the Boat US site. (and still do) Now CSR has become the most informative SR site around.

And don't forget the bunny slippers!

September 2007 while looking for my 280DA I contacted Sea Ray Corporate with a question about the boat I was looking at. I received an email that referred me to this site. And I've gotta tell ya, there was 2800 ish members at that time and wow what a ride it has been. My wife asks me daily "what are your friends on CSR saying today",,,,, and strangely "What's Gary up to",,,, ( side bar you got something to tell me dude???) But I digress. Thanks for ALL the help over the years and I hope to be able pay it back someday.

I joined a couple years after SRO but I have heard some of the stories. Thanks to Jim for providing the support and to all the contributors for providing content. Speaking of Jeremy, looks like he has not been on in a year. Anyone heard form him? I wonder if he is still boating?

Jeremy and his wife have had a baby and that changed their priorities, but he is still doing his thing.

I think that little man has Jeremy wrapped around his little finger too.

Same with me when I registered as an new owner to my 300DB.

I joined in 06 after purchasing my first boat, coming home and freaking out about putting it in the water the first time. Luckily I found Jeremy's site and within an hour several members had me thinking I was going to be just fine. So glad I came across Jeremy's site that night...

Being a pretty good mechanic and engineer, I remember thinking how I could help folks with my whopping 5 years of boating experience on that website when I joined (can't remember the date). Wow was I humbled quickly when I met the folks on that website and followed them here. We are fortunate that Jim provided a place for harnessing the knowledge our experts have. I learn something here every time I visit.

I found SRO first, probably sometime in 2005. I happen to email Dom (OSD) may he rest in piece, because he was selling a set of props for a 330 Sundancer, as he just traded his in on his 380. I met him at his office and he told me everyone moved over to CSR, and this was Oct 2006. Thanks Jim, for giving us a new home!!

Where you been ????

Good to hear from you Wesley. Hope all is well with you and your.

I had visited the old site, but I don't remember how much or for how long. Found this site several years ago, and spent many, many hours here passing the hours while manning a desk in an Air Operations Center waiting for any attacks from without or within the US. I don't have a desk job anymore, so I find myself either out on the road, working around the house, or relaxing on the boat. I just don't get back here as much as I used to, but I like this thread to catch up a little with the old gang.
