I have been kicking around the idea of a Club Sea Ray get-together somewhere in the Delta (Northern Cal) this year.

I would like to get an idea of how many might be interested.

Let me know if this sounds good and if you would prefer to do a raft up somewhere or find a marina with a big guest dock.

We seem to have a pretty good number of members in Nothern Cal and it might be fun to all meet....then again it might not. But those guys in the East and Northwest do it and it seems to work.

Let me hear from you all on this.

I wouldn't mind meeting some of you folks, if a lil' old 260 is welcome.
1st choice would be the marina, but are flexible.

Our summer is 80% booked, but would be open to either destination. BTW - if you trailer, Marine Max has a great outing planned for Meeks Bay on Tahoe, June 20-22 (3rd weekend).

Thanks for the replys. I was thinking about sometime during the middle of summer. Maybe late July or early August.

If we chose a marina I was thinking about our home port of Oxbow Marina near Isleton. It has a great guest dock that will take up to 16-20 boats, full power and stuff, a nice pool, BBQs, play area for kids and dogs and it's kind of central in the Delta and never any wakes.

Here is a link www.oxbowmarina.com

Throw me some good dates.
Shawn

Oxbow sounds fine - just being on the water sounds fine! Mid to late July sounds good, we are planning to be on the Rogue River the first week of August.

Thanks Blaine. I will note preferences. How would big Jake like to play with 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks?

mid july or after august 2. have plans for last week july and fireworks at mandeville for the 4th

Let me know and we will boat or drive depending on the conditions and how much room there is at the dock.

Bill

Any updates? We have the last week of July open.

We're launching at Brannan Isle on July 2, cruising around through the 4th - might stay over to the 5th. Anyone else boatin'?

To all of you interested in this Delta get together I am sorry that I dropped the ball on this.

We have not been boating as much as we would like this year. My 54 year old little brother has developed stage IV cancer and has a limited amount of time left. We have been going to Seattle to be with the family as much as possible.

I hope to be able to resurrect this event for next year.

Thanks to all of you for your interest.

So, maybe a 2010 get together?????

Absolutely!

I am going to start on this sooner this year and see what we can do.

Very cool, the Admiral was asking if Delta Sea Ray boaters get together like East Coasters do. I would think there would be a much larger presence on this site from our region since there used to be a couple of sea Ray dealers around here.

We're up for it. Our Summer is filling up fast with Scout Camps, Sports Camps and such. July is shot and so is the third week of June. School starts Aug 2nd week of August, but long weekends are okay...

Long weekends are the best for us anyway. Norcalboater is hereby appointed to set this up!

The Admiral and I were just talking about this this weekend. I am going to get started on this in the next few weeks. I am really considering our home port of Oxbow Marina. www.oxbowmarina.com It has a large guest dock, can take 50+ footers, has good power, is quiet and likes cruise ins. I also felt this would be better than anchoring out for this first time.

I am just thinking of a Friday thru Sunday for the first one. Hell, we might all get togetherr and not like each other. I do need to get my boat fixed though. I think I have an allignment problem and should be able to get it in in a couple of weeks.

I will talk to the marina manager and get some possible dates and get back to all of you with in the month.

Oxbow is pretty sweet! I am in as long as the weekend works. As for the alignment issue, try Big O...
