Hi All,
Just thought I'd make a post to kick the tires on possibly organizing a "meet-up" for any CSR folks attending the Annapolis Boat Show. This could be as informal as picking a time and place at the show to gather, then huddle for an hour over drinks and grub at the show... to something more organized like lunch or dinner at a local restaurant. Another option would be meeting up above Pussers for the Boat Show Breakdown party which is always on the upper deck of the Marriott garage. They usually have Al (Owner of Big Owl's Restaurant/Bar at Kent Narrows) up there DJ'ing and also a beer/painkiller tent with food.

I personally wont be able to attend until Sunday because of other committments on Saturday, but that doesn't mean the event has to be Sunday.

I also wondered if Jim would be open (or even able) to get discounted vendor tickets if we organized a spreadsheet for saturday and sunday, and then had them waiting at will call. May be too complex, or not even an option of something that the boat show does. I haven't had a chance to talk to Jim yet, so that idea may not hold water....

Any thoughts?

James

Jim,
I will be there both days. My plan is to grab a mooring ball or anchor in Spa Creek Friday and Saturday night.

I am a definite maybe. Depends if I still need to spend that weekend feeding any more of the parasites getting fat off the sale of my house (HOA, home inspector, radon tester, appraiser, termite inspector, etc).

I would love to be there on Sunday when they break down. Usually the admiral gets antsy before then and we leave before then.

Bill,

Glad to hear that the sale of your house is going through! It is definitely a pain though.

Mike

I'll be there as well - not sure which says yet. Likely Friday or Saturday.

I'll be there if they can get my boat running. They have replaced everything and it is still surging at all RPM's. Maybe I'll drive down.

I am having Beth look into getting discounted tickets. I can also offer our Showroom Trailer as a place to do a happy hour one evening of the show. I don't have the manpower to organize and put it together 100% so I will need a volunteer or two, but I can certainly help you guys in organizing an event inside the show if you want to go that route. We have a good central location where any number of people could gather.

Cool,
Thanks Jim. Keep me in the loop. If folks want to meet mid afternoon Sunday, I can organize it. Otherwise i'll help as I can remotely but wont be there.

Show tickets are $9/ea for Fri/Sat/Sun if I order them for you guys/gals. I would need to order them by the 26th though. So if anybody wants to head up a campaign to do a big ticket order feel free to do so. I can collect the money on paypal if you want.

Jim, where would we pick them up (assume will call?) Half price... Thats a good deal!... Also, could we pick them up individually, or would you just have a group of tickets? What are the details for sending payment via paypal? Guessing we will have good interest in this one!

I can set up a spreadsheet and put it in the google drive folder on the Gmail account I created for the CSR Middle bay raftup. Things are a bit hectic for me right now, but if someone wants to volunteer to help keep the list up to date, I can give them the password to the account as well. I'll check to make sure it's still active when I get home this evening.

You can send the money to me via paypal, the address is support@clubsearay.com. Be sure to put your name on the place where you can leave a note when sending money. I'll leave the tickets at will call. These $9 tickets are only good for Fri, sat and sun.

Jim,

Thank you for doing this! I just paid for 2 tickets.

James,

I'd love to learn more about the breakdown party on Sunday. My wife and I are definitely interested.

Any more thought on a meet up? The Admiral and I are only going on Friday, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it!) our club has a cruise to St. Mikes on Saturday so we are in Annapolis Thur and Fri, and then motoring over to St. Mikes Sat morning.

Thanks for arranging the Tix Jim that is a great deal!
