Does anyone have any crimpers for 12v wiring that they really like? I have wire strippers that I like that have crimps built in, but they aren't very good. I do enough of this that I'm willing to invest a little bit in a crimp tool that is good.

I switched to the heat shrink connectors with the built-in solder, but sometimes I'm wiring in an area that I just can't use a heat gun or a lighter, so I want something with a traditional mechanical crimp.

I have these and 2 others from Snap-on https://www.ebay.com/p/1047828003
Searching for the others.

If you're crimping something that you may want to remove you may want to consider weatherpack ends and appropriate crimper.

I bought these at Lowes and cannot stress how good they are. You shouldn't use the combined stripper/crimper tools, they are too thin and narrow and you don't get enough leverage to make good crimps. This tool from Lowes is wide enough to crimp exactly half of a standard butt connector leaving a solid full crimp and the other half untouched for the other wire to be inserted. It's also long enough to have enough leverage for a full crimp. Cheap and local.

"Cheap and local"
Don't see anything about warranty. Snap-on is Lifetime.

Gotta have em. When it comes to tools, price is no object. Got 65-80K invested. Box is 11.5- 13K empty.

To each their own I guess.... That's just crazy to me. But if you use them to earn a living then that's a different story for sure.

As an electrician, this has been the best crimper I have used.
I've made thousands of crimps with this type of
crimper.
It's by Thomas and Betts (T&B).
The thin ones don't crimp for shit.
Klein makes a version of them as we
