I want to replace the lights in my cockpit with color-led lights. I am talking about the ones on the top of the arch and if possible I would like to get a direct replacement.

Do you have a link/recommandation of what I should get and where to get it ?

PS: I know there is a subject on CSR about that but I cannot find it

Thank you

I bought my led bulbs from superbrightleds.com I checked your parts manual for your boat and it carries the same bulb for my boat. The bulb is a festoon type bulb with a length of 44mm. Make sure you measure your bulb first before ordering.

I put the lights that change red /white or blue they fit in with a little trim of the hole just you toggle between colors its nice to have the white when you need brite light red is easy on eyes and blue looks good also I love them and might get 3 more for around floor to replace original ones they have them at boe marine around 120.00 each .

+1000000! Easiest mod I have ever done!

Al, you got your name fixed!!!:smt038 heh

anyway.. I just replaced my arch lights with the Apeiron tri color. I can have red, blue or white just by turning on and off.(it will cycle thru the 3 colors) Jim sells them @ BOE and they basically popped in with only changing the screw holes. Got a lot of nice compliments from the dock crowd this last weekend.

Wow, I'm going to have to check this out. Was it just a direct swap of the standard bulbs that are in the arch already?

For those of you who swapped in the tri colors, how bright is the white lights? I swapped in the 44mm cool whites from super bright LED's but they are too dim for reading. I kept them in the 3 near the floor but put the regular bulbs back in the arch to get it brighter. Hate to dump 250+ to find out I still cant see at night when sitting in the rear u-seating.

I used these, they popped right into the same holes, and I added a couple more:

Available in other colors as well.

I'd have to say I would still need more light to read by. ( of course I am sorta old too ) I'll try and remember to check this weekend if no one else has any input.

The white are bright they work great for me the only problem I had was the chrome trim pitted first season but I called company and they said they had defect on some of the first ones they produced and sent me new trims that should hold up fine.

Another vote. I replaced all 5 of mine last year and love them. I have the white bezel and really like the looks over the chrome.

I'm like really likng this idea except the price. I've got 8 fixtures, that's a grand for sexy lights! UGH!

I did the 2 in the arch first and then the other 3. It was 2 smaller bills instead of one big one. It was easier to pass it in front of the wife that way.

Has anyone installed the tri-lights on a dimmer switch. I wanted to replace my helm area lights with these but the lights are on a dimmer switch. I guess I could change the switch with a off on switch. Any opinions?

I put some of those in too. They are really cool but look kind of stupid when the regular cockpit access lights are on too. Next time, i would do them all or keep the original style lights.
The problem I have is that when they are supposed to be white, they still have a blue tint.
It looks like something you would see in someone's Baja...
I am either taking mine back out or I will try to find accent lights that match...

From research it appears they have 2 different kinds of white light. One is cool and one is warm. They said the warm white has a blue tint to it and the cool white is just a bright white. This info is on the Tri-lights.

Papogator...did you just replace the bulbs in your existing fixtures? Or did you also replace the fixtures?
