I am taking the boat out tomorrow and it's still pretty cold out. Just wanted to get some input from the "cold" weather boater's out there from up north... It looks like we are only getting up to a high in the 70's tomorrow and we are probably going to need a light wind breaker. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself!
I do love living in the South!

I was out last weekend in the snow, it was great. I was out today in the sun/wind and 50 degrees, it was great. I have yet to see "bad" boating weather.

Our search and rescue guys took the rescue boat out on Wednesday. They had to break ice to get out of the basin. Buddy took his Seaswirl Striper out fishing on Tuesday, -14 C. Took him a while to find an ice free launch. He caught one. Where there's a will there's a way.

It's still ski season. We are expecting another foot of snow on sunday night. It has been an epic ski season. Boating can wait another couple of months.

Be careful SeaDawg it is not a good idea to bring up your warm weather just yet, You might get hit by another blast from Mother Nature .

We will be out on the lake tomorrow. Supposed to be 68 and sunny. Almost time to dewinterize the waverunner.

Give me a break "cold weather boating" Seadawg you don't even know cold weather we're fitting the forty eight with tracks and skis up her in Michigan for Hard water boating in -15 degree temps

50's today with 65 tomorrow... Then Monday arrives with ice with lows in the lower teens. Last year this time I was out and down around Smithfield Station having lunch. I don't mind the cold...but can it makeup it's mind!

Summer finished on Friday, Autumn now.

We have had 5 days of rain so far. Went out on Wednesday for a late afternoon fish. We had to sit under the cover and have a beer whist we waited for the Thunderstorm to pass over. It was around 82 degrees at 6pm.

The last couple of days have been raining and around 75.

So I guess now we will have several months of 70-82 with a few hot days thrown in. Then we will get our couple of months of 60-65 with freezing cold 50 degree nights.

Well it was -33 here last night. The only boating I could do right now is to hitch the boat up to the truck and go drive it on the ice on the lake.

-58 F here at work the last couple days with the windchill, brrrr. No boating here. Wife had to push 3 feet of snow off the boat this past week at home. 41 F for highs when I get home so may take the old girl for rip around the islands

I remember the good old days, When I went to the boat in the middle of winter.

She was shrink wrapped and had a 3ft door.

Fired-up the pro-cat propane heater and sat there having a beer and made boat motor sounds. :wow:

I take back my previous post... Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for our area from tomorrow night till Wens. 4 to 6" of ice and snow. We go from near 70 to low teens with ice and snow. This stuff sucks!

Sound fun. Have a good day. In the north when we get to Alaska we can get 10,000 year old ice to use for our drinks not like the recycled water in the south.

I just hate you !!! it was 4 this morning when i woke up. yes...4 degrees

I'm in Australia, we have a severe drought out west in the farm areas. Rain always falls in the wrong place...

Oh and I've been out on the boat today, overcast, 80degrees, hardly any boats out. Magic
