Damn good mount there.
Thanks for the pics.
No prob. The TV out there is just a cheapo TCL/Roku thing. 28".
Starboard side mount for me, right behind the captains chair with a base mount screwed down into a piece of round starboard I made to fit the existing opening there.
What electronics are you running? I wanted to do the same thing and I heard that RayMarine E120 has some weird megahertz not compatible with most TVs
This is where she was when I got her. Thought about moving it to the other side, but feel it would be in the way. Here, it's neatly tucked away. Gonna upgrade to a better TV this season but will probably keep it where it is.
Do you guys really watch that much TV to justify the effort to put it out there and deal with it underway etc?..... or is it just a cool thing... I get the cool thing but for myself I don't watch much TV on the boat.. I don't think it would be any different if it was in the cockpit
I like to watch the news and have a coffee while waiting for the wife to get ready to go out for breakfast. That's about it for cockpit tv watching for me. I do use the one below more often..(Gunsmoke / nap)
Depends on a lot of things. I don't watch in the later afternoons, since the sun washes it out. There was one night last year I was really glad I had it, it had Roku built in, and I used my phone as a wifi hot spot. Signed up for the UFC McGregor Mayweather fight, and had the whole dock watching. That was a blast until all internet feeds for the thing shut down in like the 7th round.
A movie @ night before bed or a sports game... News in the morning with coffee & breakfast.
I'm in Detroit. Marina's got cable, Tigers game in the evening is a great way to relax and watch in the cockpit.
I have Raymarine E98, I think as long as it has HDMI out you would be fine. I have called Raymarine customer service, they are pretty good, I would call before doing everything.
Curious if the tv moves around at all when under way?
Like other members said it's nice to watch the morning news after I take my shower after of 5.5 km bike ride every morning, then having my afternoon snack/cigar while watching my favorite movie or a music channel playing, and also in the evenings especially in summer etc.
My cockpit tv is fixed and it never moved a milimeter since I put it there even jumping in 2 meter seas.
Where did you get the bracket? I'm trying to find simular.
I have it custom made for the tv's wall mount bracket by my local metal shop.
That is what I modified to use, works perfectly, and it's a Sea Ray part.
+1. Worked great for us as well.
Same one I used
