Clarion speakers

Save your money and buy something else. I opened my Clarions just to look at them because two of them had a bit of a vibration and the cones on all 4 speakers turned out to be shot, what garbage!

I replaced them all with Kicker 620's along with a new matching Kicker sub....what an incredible difference! Here's what they look like: http://www.hookedontronics.com/sales/K528174a397d_P117_Kicker_06+KM620.htm
You won't be sorry with these!

Good luck.

I agree almost any speaker is a great up grade. I have removed mine and replaced them with poly planners. They fit perfect. I also added 2 poly's to the underside of the radar arch. They were the surface mount plate speakers. Sounds great. I recently found my amp which is a no name 40x2. I'll be looking for a new amp to run the 6 cockpi speakers.

I second that opinion. Clarions are ok but theres really no use in trying to save 10.00 when you can get Kicker or even better Soundstream marine speakers for the same or sometimes less. I have 8 Soundstream 6.5", 2 soundstream 5.25" and 2 10" Subs. Along with two soundstream amps and the entire system SCREAMS! Is effecient, durable and cool looking to boot!

I have the same question re my speakers. What size am I looking for? I have a 1997 330sd.
Thanks!

Applause for Clarion. I called them and explained to them the condition of my speakers, and the fact that many other boat owners have expressed the same scenario. They agreed to ship me 2 new pair for free, minus shipping. The Club Sea Ray website most definitely gave me the ammunition and information to pass along to Clarion, and thus save me a couple of hundred dollars!!!

I had two blown on our 340 when we got it and they can be readily found online and are not too costly. Just replaced mine with the same speakers and it was a five minute swap.
I think I paid $49 for the two.
Does anyone have one or two Clarion Marine speakers they would like to sell?

What number did you actually get a live person at? I have tried everything on their crappy website and get stuck in voicemail dead ends. You would think a large company like Clarion would have a Customer Service phone number...

Thanks,

Dan
