NO, not by itself. I went last year and the highlight was meeting friends from CSR and doing the show and dinner with them. I would not go alone to see the show. I have heard that a few years ago it was a super show with many dream boats to see. Keep an eye out in January for a thread about the show as several may meet again to visit and take in the show. According to Skipper Buds, the biggest SR at Chicago will be a 260DA, the biggest Four Wynns will be a 285 and no Meridians or Azmuits.

At the Milwaukee show, the biggest SR will be a 250SLX (bow rider) but there will be the Cruisers Cantius 41 and there will be a Tiara 31.

I will probably go this year, but for only one reason. I saw a new dinghy davit system that I want to checkout. If I like it and there is a good show discount I may wind up buying it.

Before the ecomomy tanked, the Chicago Boat and RV show used to be a great day or even two with a number of manufacturers bringing large boats and lots of vendors. The upper floor would be just boating and the lower level was all RVs with the large motor coaches, too.

Not worth it at all. For years it was, but now is pretty sad how bad it has gotten.

I saw it in Lakeland Boating magazine. It's named Prodav.net. It is a cradle that swivels on the swim platform. You crank the dink up perpendicular to the swim platform. Then you swivel it, so that it is parallel with the platform. You will need to also install some tie downs. You don't have to remove the outboard. I want to see an actual one at the show.

"The largest model on display in Chicago will be the 300 SLX. However, Skipper Buds Marina will be doing a post show event at their Winthrop Harbor and Round Lake locations with a variety of models 30 feet and beyond."

I have been going to the show now for the past 15 years or so now , I agree the past 4-5 years it has sucked , But I did hear from a few friends that own boat dealerships/marinas that its supposed to be better then past years , Mcormic place is giving insentives to get more boats/dealers in and to get more vendors there , I hope it will be a great turn out for Chicago , Ill be there on Saturday , Probably taking the train in from Fox Lake with some tasty beverages of course
