chain anchor rode

Hi there, I want to put about 125 ft of chain on my boat ,then 200ft of rope... I have 50 ft of chain now, are there any suggestions how to add chain to chain?? I do not want to waste the existing lenght I have now {$$$}

I used a smash link I bought at west marine. I hope you bought calibrated chain...

river marine supply in Miami has the best price I've found on chain. I added 50' last year for a total of 65' and it made it so much easier to pull up without the line. I also bought the link at west marine for $4 or so. Don't waste your money on a stainless one. Go galvy. type in the name and the website should come up. Let me know if you need anything else. Rob
