Cat 3116 Antifreeze smell/smoke

So the 2nd rebuilt unit blows up too....Don't use Turbo Supply. Bought a rebuilt unit from Cat with the upgraded wheel (12 fin vs 6 fin in the older style turbo) also has a larger diameter shaft. Boat is running now but tachs are off. I need to clean the props and bottom and take it out again. Used 23 gallons for the season....

I just had one of my turbos replaced with the new style CAT reman. what a difference! funny you should mention that about the tachs. mine are off too.
