Carnival Triumph

Dunno about the west, I'm out east right now, down here in Mobile, AL freaking wet, working on another engineering disaster....BBY is is still down an engine...Hopefully get her back together in March or April.

In fact I will probably been down here when the Triumph arrives....

Now that's karma....you may have to work on her next before BBY!

LOL, not quite. I handle the controls an automation side of things. The mechanical guys will have a lot do work to do before anything can be done on the electrical end. Just like the Carnival Splendor when she broke down out off of CA.

I know I am in the minority here but hey, someone has to be....

I don't think you could pay me enough to get on a cruise ship. I could post a dozen reasons but I won't clog up the thread.
For the record... Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico - No, No & Hell no. My wife wants me to go to Italy with her in a year or so.... I am actively seeking an alternate travel partner for her.

You need to get out more!

Joe, I can tell you've been cruising with Royal. Their slogan "Get out there"!

We love cruises. They take me places where I can't take my boat and provide great service and entertainment.

Good cruises are the best way to vacation, see new places, great food, be waited on attentively with good entertainment can't beat 'em plus you only unpack once:) NWP, don't be frightened you may be like somone else I know well, didn't want to go on a cruise and now just loves 'em the good ones that is! Be nice to the Admiral, go you'll love it, and she'll appreciate you more for it:)

You paying? I'll go with her willingly . Seriously, good cruises are the best way to vacation, see new places, great food, be waited on attentively with good entertainment can't beat 'em plus you only unpack once:) You truly do need to get out more, don't be frightened you may be like someone else I know well, didn't want to go on a cruise and now just loves 'em (the good ones that is)! Be nice to the Admiral, go with her, you'll love it, and she'll appreciate you more for it too: Remember none of us know what's in store for us and "give and take" generally works out best:) Give way on this one......next time it's your turn....you'll be glad you did:)

I am serious. But all in good fun....
Am I paying? Let me think about that for a second...No.
The best way to vacation? We have vastly different definitions of either the word best or vacation.
Need to get out more? I wish I had more time for home.
Frightened? Not sure what this refers to but fear is not an issue.
Be nice to the Admiral/go with her. I'll probably go & I'll smile the whole time.

Again, all in fun but I have told her (& she agrees), no way am I spending money & more importantly time on a cruise ship. It just ain't happening. We have friends that go & we have heard good & bad. But even the good stories don't sound like vacation to me.

Latest and greatest....Triumph will be pulling in at 4 AM roughly here in Mobile as to avoid media flooding...The media is already preparing down stairs of my hotel for when she gets in so that they can go blast the company for trying to provide people a vacation....God I hate the media.....

Spot on BBY - on NBC this morning, the dramatic "Did I hear you correctly, there were no working toilets!?" during phone interview with a passenger still on board this morning... As if this was some new scoop. The hyper-sensationalism turns my stomach

The bigger issue is that television media does this because the public at large consumes it...and expects it. CNN actually has Wolf Blitzer covering this with "Live Exclusive" video. If nobody watched, they wouldn't do it.
