Cape Cod-Vineyrad-Nantucket-RI We Suck

I'll be around Kingman Marina (its my home marina) this weekend (Aug 20-22) if anybody is interested in coming to Buzzards Bay

I'll be between MV and ACK 8/7-8/14/11. That's a long trip with $1,000 fuel bill plus slip fees. Going too close to those dates would opt me out. June sounds good though. I'd to anything 1-2 hours south of the Cape Cod Canal.

We are working on plans, it's a toss up between the Boston Harbor islands and Buzzard's Bay for us for this weekend.

If you fish, Boston Harbor has been phenomenal this year.

Please don't forget your neighbors in the north. The AC get together seemed great. There are many SR in ME.

I am heading to Bar Harbor from Portland right after Labor Day weekend for a week and I am very excited. I would not mind to head south :smt038

Hey Steve Mac - I was at Kingman Marina (now yacht center??) on Friday and Saturday nights. I had a slip out front we were in slip 562, stern to the 90' Lazzara that was on the end dock.

Is your slip out in the back? I don't recall seeing a 40' SR out front. Also I didn't read this thread until today, otherwise I would've introduced myself.

Keep up the good work for next year's rendezvous. I'd love to see something more local for the MA/NH/RI crowd. I know Kingman marine has hosted these events for Cape Dory's (sailors) and maybe Bertram. Kingman is great for NH/ME and Boston boaters as all they have to do is get to the west end of the canal and not slog down a choppy Buzzards Bay 20-50+ miles for Cuttyhunk or Block Is.

+1 for Kingman. They do a great job - we were laid up there with a broken shaft for two days earlier this month and they treated us like royalty. Great location, great bar, great people.

I'm in on kingman too - I'm planning on focusing my boating to the north next year and the rendevoux would be a great "gateway" or return stop - I would prefer end of june (after kids get out of school) thanks Steve Mac for taking the helm on this one

Steve Mac, you're awesome!!! Thanks for pulling this together!

Steve's the MAN!!! This will be good once he signs back on and see's what is up! I am at Kingmans as well and would be happy to help Steve take this on. Maybe we could combine it with the "Bassackwards Sailboat Race". This year there were 800 boats and 4000K people for the party! Reminded me of the pictures I have seen at Havasu or Lake of the Ozarks! Could be a good time. Let's keep this moving!

Alright, I'm on it.

CapeCodCruiser, thats a great idea about having everyone come to Kingman for Bass Ackwards next year. That is really good time.

Were you out there this year?

Steve, It would be a great time! Yes I was, absolute madness. We were a little to the north, out of the actual craziness. I think I saw you and kept meaning to come over and say Hi, but all the other activities kept distracting me! Let's just stay in touch and see how things transpire. By the way, what do you drive? Hard to tell if you are at the boat as I drive by, but if I see your car up top I will come down. Hope all is well.
