Well, I learned something new last night about my canvas snaps and throught I'd share with everyone. I'm sure most of you know this already and probably saying to yourself "Duh, what a dumb a$$"

I've always been frustrated w/ my canvas because the damn snaps never lined up. Last night, i decided to look at them a little more closly. I noticed the snaps are actually in a track and you can SLIDE them! :wow: Man i was as happy as a 5 year old kid on Christmas. I lined everything up (must have been 10 or so snaps) and re buckled everything.

Btw, the snaps that slide are only the ones that are in the metal framing around the windshield. Obviously the ones mounted to the fiberglass won't slide... but all the ones on the fiberglass line up perfectly.

Anyways, just thought i'd share my new lesson.

Sorry, but I'll bite... if the shoe fits.

Seriously though. Glad you learned something new and it was even on your own. Makes for a greater sense of pride in boat ownership

Now hopefully you can learn something new here today and make it 2 things in one day.

When you make the adjustments be careful that you don't donate your screwdriver and snap to the bottom of the lake as I did last spring. I found that you need to completely remove the screw from the snap to get it to slide...I must have had too much caffeine that day with my jittery hands. Luckily the dealer had a bunch of spares and didn't charge me for a replacement.

Funny, i was using my keys last night to slide a few that were more stiff. I was thinking to myself... "Hold the keys real tight"
