I am asking for input on bimini material in white or oyster color. Sunbrella would be my first choice but I am wondering about something that would be more stain resistant.

Stamoid . . . any idea or thoughts?

Sunbrella is very good at repealing stains. I have an aft curtain that gets trashed every year by birds and pollen. As soon as pollen season ends I take it to a comerical laundry and and wash in cold water with lots of bleach and some regular Tide. It comes out looking like new. It's 6 years old now and I'm thinking of replacing it, but it still looks too good to toss.

I wanted to do my boat over in white. I think it is really sharp. but i chickened out because of the maintenance. We have a problem with jet exhause. it clings to everything and kills white canvas. If you don't have this type of fallout,I would go for it .

I also think its sharp. Just worry about the maintenance as our marina is directly under the approach/departure path of the local airbase which is only about 2 miles away. A neighbor has his original '93 canvas which he finally put up after about 12 years and it doesn't look bad so far. When your inside the boat it does look a little dirty but not from the dock.

Where I live there is a quite a following for a tougher material called "Top Gunn" It does not have a fabric feel on top and is really Jet exhauset, bird poop, pollen, cottonwood bloom... etc resistant. May of the boaters that use it in the NW tow their smaller boats with the tops up... it is that tough.

I could not recommend white. Had it on my 23 foot weekender and it was a bear to keep clean. bird droppings were a major project everytime.
