Chicago, Detroit and GB all tied for 1st with 5-3 season. Vikings sucking pond water at 1-7. NFC north, go figure...

So much for your efforts Crowder. It would appear that the Americans don't give a hoot ... they just want to talk about their favourite football teams. :smt021 I hope that they soon brush up on their manners and take it somewhere else. Now getting back to the point of your thread, we live about 25 minutes from Ed Huck Marine. :smt038

Thanks I am glad you replied :) I like your boat, the older Searays seem to have a more solid classic look. We are boating out of Crysler Marina and are hoping to get further into the 1000 Islands area this summer.

His point left the site when his link took us to BOC site. What was the purpose of that? The administrator called him on it and the site turned positive with the twist to football by Doug (BOC) and Scott (CSR). Kind of a reaching across the aisle thing. That's they way we try and roll here. Make something good out of all situations.

If that means we talk about football, soccer, tennis or NASCAR then so be it.

Have a great day up there Ont. I'll be in Missisauga in Feb for a week of training. Canada is a beautiful country.

I agree. I think the canucks are just mad because we took over Hockey as well.

I hope that we can hook up some time next summer. Perhaps in Brockville for Canada Day, eh?? I want to retire that pic of our 390. A friend of ours took several shots this past summer on her new Cannon camera. She transferred them to a data stick, but we don't know how to view them as they are in some weird Cannon format. Hopefully, they can be converted to jpeg files. The hope is to pick out the nicest one and update our avatar + get some boating cards made up for when we meet and make new friends on the water. ~Ken

We have been boating out of Vancouver, BC. Mostly in the Howe Sound, Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, and Desolation Sound. Amazing.

Originally from Ontario where we did some boating in Georgian Bay. We then spent 2 seasons on Lake Ontario out of Toronto.

We moved to Kelowna, BC on 05 and boat on Okanagan Lake. It's gorgeous here and the lake is huge.

I had coffee at Starbucks on Denman and Davie in Vancouver just before we drove up to Stanley Park. It rained the whole time we were there. Pretty much the norm according to the locals. I was really suprised at the Asian influence in Vancouver. Good hearty people up there.

    Bill & Dave...

Vancouver is completely different than the Okanagan / Kelowna. Although, Vancouver had an amazing summer this year, no where near the amount of rain that they normally get. Weather on the coast is weather on the coast. I think Seattle gives Vancouver a good run for their money in rainfall amount each year. The waterfront is beatuiful, joggers use the seawall as do walkers, tons of boats to look at as well as cruise ships coming into the Pan Pacific hotel at Coal Harbour.

Kelowna is in the middle of Okanagan Lake. The lake is just shy of 100 miles from one end to the other with Vernon at the north, Kelowna in the middle and Penticton at the south. We're basically in a valley and the wine capital of Canada. Mission Hill, Quails Gate, Summerhill are the 3 top wines that win awards all the time. Moorage is at a premium on the lake and we were lucky to get it when we first got here.

I honestly do not think I would live anywhere else in the country now unless my work took me close to Georgian Bay! Although, if it were possible, Florida would be cool too!

    Hope that helps...

I had dinner at an upscale restaurant in Seattle in the bay. Can’t remember the name but we watched the seaplanes come and go all afternoon. Sipped adult beverages on the patio. Very cool! My job takes to many cool places in NA and Europe. The admiral is not so thrilled. I keep telling her I’m researching travel for our retirement. I don’t think she’s buying much of it.
