I've kept in contact with 190SigSeaRay(Paul) for right around year now. He summoned his Pals on the C/K-5 Chevy site he belongs to to keep a look out when the Admiral's Suburban was stolen a year ago.

It was truly appreciated.

Anyway it's his neighborhood's school spring break this week and he has come to visit Seattle from Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. The Admiral and I will be hosting him tomorrow and Thursday evening. Hopefully the weather holds to allow us to go for a local boat ride and show him a tiny sliver of the Pacific NW. I'm going to take Thursday and Friday off. They need to leave Friday .

Update:
Well turns out two issues have delayed the progress for Paul's visit. They came down from Cochrane into the Spokane area and visited a friend over the weekend and spent yesterday and today in Seattle. One of their girls came down with something requiring some medicine they knew what they needed. In order to get it unfortunately(their Doctor could not call down a prescrition for here locally) so they drove to the US/Canadian border. At the border Paul find that "immigration" has some questions. Turns out he's a dual citizen and has had a US passport for awhile. He has lived in Canada for most his life apparently but he doesn't carry his Canadian version of the Social Security card, so he calls to say they nearly didn't let him in(he may be better able to tell the tale). Anyway they did but warned him that he needs to get this taken care of.
He called to say he was contemplating staying in Canada and not coming down.

I said, don't ruin your trip, get down here and sort it out again on the way home.
So anyway I thought I'd share what hopefully is a salvaged trip, (Daughter has her medicine) and I can show him some local boating and the Canadian's let him back in.

Sound's like they're coming back tomorrow AM.

It's funny how easy it is to get into a country that you don't live it, it's getting home that's more difficult.

Just like prison. Easy to get in, tough to get out.

I know from personal experience (I'm doing a project at our State Pen).
