Can someone tell me about this model?

looking at searay.com archives the 79 260 sundancer looks just like the early 80s just like my boat. But the smaller 79 240 sundancer looks like the older models
 
The owner is going to Kentucky this weekend. He gave me permission to take the boat and run it this weekend. I will look under the Hull I.D. number to get the MIC#!

Looks like I have the same boat as you. I am currently re-powering mine with a new 5.8 Windsor, mated with an Alpha 1.
What is your top end speed? GPH? Do you think it is underpowered? Thanks for the help.
