Calling all 360 DA owners

Thanks for the link. Are you mounting the horn in the anchor locker where the current one is?

Actually I'm going up on the Radar Arch, I'm running the tubing and the compressor down the port side and going to mount it behind the cabinet panel under the sink. There is PLENTY of unused space there if you can imagine that LOL!

Hello everyone,
We purchased a 2003 360 Sundancer back in November. We are back into boating after a 22 year hiatus. Found this site over the winter and have read all the posts. Looks like a lot of useful information here. As expected there is a long list of upgrades that we will be tackling over the season. Eagerly anticipating spring launch and the 1st voyage to the new home port. I'll post pics as soon as I figure it out.

Ctsearay, i looked through your blog and you picture of chilling at the dock looks familiar. I think we will be neighbors this season.

Congrats on the new boat!
ctsearay, post some pictures on your new air horn install when you get to it. Interested to see how it works. You are right, the stock horn leaves much to be desired!

Congrats!!! Sounds great we have 3 more CSR members in the cove as of this year. SeaRay is representing in great numbers this year. What dock are you going to be on?

Awesome! Welcome to the neighborhood!!

Quick question......

What is the best way to mark your anchor line to track the distance laid out? Tape? Paint? Marker?

Has anyone taken on this task?

Thanks in advance....

Something I mean to do every year and haven't yet

I marked mine with 2 red painted stripes every 25'. Makes it really easy to tell how much is out.

Congrats on your 360!

The paint on the anchor line is a good suggestion. Any type work better than others?

Is the dash stereo remote for the original Clarion setup? If so, where did you find it?

Found the direct replacement on Amazon.
Installation was somewhat simple. Had to remove the chart plotter panel to gain better access to the wires, and nuts used to hold the remote in place. It's somewhat of a blind assembly, so I used the camera on my phone and switched to the FaceTime lens so I could see what I was doing. Worked pretty good.

Finally got around to changing my spark plugs. I knocked he tube of dielectric grease into the bilge when I was climbing down into the bilge....I never found it:smt013. The plug on the outside of each engine, above the engine mount was a PITA. This was my 1st time....glad it is done.

Boat is in! Great day, but cold and rainy all weekend.
Great to have everything work the first time. Everything started right up - no problems.

I do have a strange water leak (from the rain) where the water ends up under the aft seat cushion right behind the helm chair. It doesn't go into the storage compartment, but stays on the shelf where the cushion sets. For the life of me, I cannot track this down. Had it last year as well. Any ideas? I do not see any tell-tale stream along the side wall of the seat or cockpit. There is a small drain hole at the bottom of the curved wall directly behind the helm chair. I cannot tell where this leads to, though. Anyone have the same issue?
Thanks.

Glad to hear she is all up and running!

Can't say we have that leak, but the last time I looked for leaks I used a spray bottle of soapy water and looked for the stream. Depending on how bad it was to find I added some coloring to the mix.

Good idea! I'll give that a try. It's definitely a strange one.

Hello everyone just sold my 29 AJ... Seriously considering a 36 dancer it's a 2006 with 8.1's aprox 360 hrs... How does boat handle in rough water? And in general? Is the boat really a slow pig like most people say? I'm also considering a 2006 34 same engines less hours both have bow thrusters... Any help would be greatly appreciated I'm pulling my hair out between the 2 boats....
