Naw. Not a lecture and I didn't say it was more sophisticated. Just an explanation about why the OP was saying gaz. Gawd I hate the winter. All the northern boaters get so sensitive and angry.

Re: David "Saint Max" I too am thinking about bigger tabs on my 330. It is a 1996 with 7.4's V Drive 310Hp a side. I have the original 22" x 9" and wonder why you suggested going to a 18 " ? . I was thinking of making mine a little wider and a 1/2 deeper drop fin. Then maybe about 13" deep. On my boat. she does come down , but to me not quick enough. Any insight suggestions welcome. Thanks Capt Dave
