Bad day for my 320....

Long story, but basically my starboard drive is stuck in forward. Why...because I went from reverse to forward while there was still throttle applied. Had to get some help getting in the slip with one engine and no power steering.

What kind of damage did I do?

Dallas, go down in the bilge and see if you can manually pull the thingamajig to the neutral position. How high was your throttle at the time of incident?

Tried that...stuck like chuck. I'm guessing 2500 rpms....it all happened real fast so I didn't see my tach.

So, the actual gear shift knob is stuck in forward gear?

:wow: Dude, I don't know.... does not sound good. That's just me, give it a little time for others to chime in, best of luck to you though:thumbsup:

Yeah, my boat guy says I most likely smoked the dog clutch.....hoping for no actual gear damage.

Doesn't the bravo have a cone clutch?

Yes a BIII is a cone clutch, but if he engaged at a high RPM the Clutch can sieze its self to the inside of the Cone on the gear. High speed mixed with quick metal to metal contact, with the oil leaving quickly will weld/sieze itself together.
