This post goes directly against one of my early rules of boating. Through out the years I have worked hard to keep pigs off of my boat, but hey, if that is your thing then you might try this:

Cpt. Sundancer,
Just as I suspected, pigs can be quite aquadic as this article shows. You need to get your guy in the water on his own without a lift and he can probably swim ashore on his own but a life vest would make it easier for him. Or take him to the Bahamas and he can learn to swim with some of his feral porcine bretheren below. He might even meet a sow hottie!

Damn....I'm always too far away for the classics!
I suppose at AC next year a pig roast will be at the table of the Gods to honor this thread?

I brought pig parts year before last. North Carolina style chopped pork in a vinegar based sauce. Them Yankee boys ate almost as must pig as they did my Hillbilly Meatballs last year.

I'm also confused. Didn't cpl. sundancer start this thread? Why is the newbie lacook getting his panties in a wad. Was anyone even talking about BBQ'ing his pig until he jumped in????????

Ok i wasn't going to chime in but i'am disappointed in you guys especially Gary . How could you all miss this one just hog tie him and pull him over the transom. Aren't they worried about bringing him on board wet and catching a cold or getting the swine flu . Lmao! Thats what makes this site so fun .

from the swim platform to shore not a problem. From shore to swim platform not a problem. From swim platform into boat. PROBLEM.

How about a miniature stretcher that he lays on. Then two people can get him over the back of the boat. Not so heavy that way.

We do have an upgrade planned for us some time in the future. A pontoon isnt, in our eyes and upgrade. Yes we spend a great deal of time on the beach, as to us our boat is our cabin on the river. Buying a boat to accommodate our pig, well that would be just about if not as crazy as some of the comments I have read on here. cpt. sundancer and myself are both veterans. We know how to adapt. Yes bringing Ko-Jac with us on the river is important. So we will figure it out. Despite all the puns and fun, we have had some pretty good ideas shared with us. Thanks.

Lacook,
I personally felt sorry for all the jokes about your pet pig but after your statement about handicapped people I have to say they can cook the pig for all I care.:smt013 We have a daughter with disabilities and find it very difficult to get her on and off the boat at times so when you brought up the subject it was a good question but for you to involve disabled HUMAN BEINGS was uncalled for.:smt021
OH MY I AM SO SORRY! Either I stated something wrong, or you read it wrong. I NEVER EVER EVER would insult, put down or make fun of ANY animal or person with a mental of physical challenge. Again, please oh my I feel awful. We have a God daughter we CHERISH, she is 24 and has CP and we have had to come up with ways to get her in and our of both our Searay and our Jonboat. In the heat of all the crap or grief my husband was getting and the annoying remarks about Ko-Jac I miss stated and idea I was trying to express. One man said something about he had an invention for his wife to get on and off the boat. I assumed he was serious and his wife had a physical challenge. As I read on his was making fun of heavy set over weight women. Again please, My apologies for making it appear I was being insensitive to a person who has physical challenges.
