Hey Bridog, I used Acetone, works great like others have said (wax area when done). I've read the thread about your Glomex problem. Go get yourself a new coax, take the right arch half moon panel off, i also removed two right speakers for coax access, I then attached the new coax to the old and fed the new one through, giving myself the extra slack needed at the top to connect to the glomex. Problem solved/back in business. PM me if ya have any questions. Thanks Dennis. I appreciate everyones help. I'm usually good at searching but I'm too tired after trying to get my POS Glomex antenna back on.
Reason is the adhesive plus the sun dis colors the gelcoat under the stripe and with all the glue removed you could very wel see the left over.
Yes your right and that makes perfect sense. Just a pain to make it match the rest of the gelcoat.
Hey dicor, Is there any reason you want to remove this? Last year I helped a friend do this on the exact same boat. Two days worth of wet sanding and buffing later it looked good. Reason is the adhesive plus the sun dis colors the gelcoat under the stripe and with all the glue removed you could very wel see the left over. Was not a fun job. Having said that his boat always sets out in the sun. Maybe yours won't be that bad.
Go to an auto body supply, they sell whats called an eraser wheel. It goes on your drill, will remove decal and glue. greatest thing I have ever seen
