Boat Food: What's Your Favorite?

Oh yeah, Cheeto's are also a sign of women menstruating. If I see a woman eating cheeto's on my boat, I throw both of them overboard.

color stained fingers touching my white vinyl seats.... :smt021

Cheetos and anything of the sort that drop rust colored powdery goodness anywhere are banned from my boat,.....sorry :smt021

I don't alow it any more in my boat either... I'll post a pict. later of my (at the time) 3 yr. old grandson munching on them in my 225... I think it took me three weeks to get out all of the remnants of that day!!! :smt013

Since the food topic seems to come up fairly frequently, maybe it needs its own forum header????

Bill

I just spent three weeks installing brand new navy blue carpet in my boat. Shows everything. So when we went out the first time, for snacks my wife figured pretzels were a good bet. It was a good idea. Sure they are "crummy", but are very dry and easy to vacuum up.

But on our second trip, we invited some friends. They brought their own snacks and drinks. Those yellow goldfish. I now have a new rule; no snacks brought by visitors, please!!

My cockpit carpets are beige, and yes, they show everything. Spilled drinks, sunscreen, lunch, whatever.

I am resigned to taking them out each fall, having them steam cleaned at a carpet shop and putting them back in in the spring.

Maybe I should try Scotchbrite on them, hmmm..............

Oops, I'm guilty of a thread hijack! Or, was it hijacked back a few messages ago when it morphed from "favorite boat foods" to "forbidden boat foods"?????

Ok, on the hook i've used the alcohol stove a few times. Is it me or does that thing take FOREVER to boil a pot of water? maybe i'm using the wrong alcohol? It says ethyl alcohol, maybe use another type. might be 80%, maybe needs to be 99% to burn hotter?

Shish-Ka-Bobs!

Make them 2 days ahead of time and let them swim in your favorite sauce...

Cleaning carpets. One of my favorite things to do on my new boat having a central vac now!!! Spill away I always say! Gives me a chance to show off my new toy by telling my wife to vacuum and have everyone watch.
