My favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations.... :smt043
Speaking of that have you done that yet for the upcoming trip?

Marq, My Admiral posted something similar a couple weeks ago
My Admiral's calling on the other Admirals- Recipes/Food

Right now we do mainly Chicken breasts, and lots of Skewered k-Bobs with Beef, chicken, shrimp, peppers mushrooms and such.

I don't do too much eating on the boat, besides some snacks. Maybe once we move up to a cruiser I will, but for now we love to dock at a lakeside restaurant. My favorites are are kind of hole in the walls crab shacks or burger joints.

I pretty much resort to a liquid diet when on the water. it pretty much consists of BEER!!! oh, maybee a nice marinated steak on a off day!

Steaks, sausages, burgers, hotdogs, twizzlers.

Roastbeef sandwichs, Cold Beer, Ham sandwichs, Cold Beer, Jalapeno Kettle Chips, Cold Beer, Cheese Spread, Cold Beer, Barrel Pickels, Cold Beer, Potatoe Salad, Cold Beer, Cole Slaw, Cold Beer, Pretzels, Cold Beer, Oh, did I say Cold BEER! :smt043

Anything that's not too messy, even an Italian sub from Subway, so long as it's paired with a single Bitburger or Gosser beer and followed up with a JR Cigars imitation Cohiba.

This will be the best after dinner desert you will ever have on a boat:

1. Cut a fresh pineapple in quarters and remove all the skin and tough inner center. Marinade in a plastic ziploc with REAL maple syrup for about an hour. Get the BBQ very hot and grill the pineapple until soft and has a crusty outside.

2. Get some REAL homemade vanilla ice cream or some really good full-of-fat ice cream. to serve with the grilled pineapple.

3. A glass of 18 year old Glenmorangie single malt scotch on the rocks (not that cheap-o 10 year stuff now... the 18 year tastes like maple syrup... and I don't care if it's $100 a bottle)

4. Watch sunset.

5. Go to bed and sleep well.

Did somebody say beer?

heh ... Maybe you need to raftup with Stihl...

We usually marinate chicken breasts and steaks.. cut into pieces and baggie, then eat with flour tortillas... the kiss principle here as well...

Mercy Four Suns.... I'm trying that! sounds wonderful! (the pineapple thingy too)

This past weekend we made some avacado taco wraps. Easy to make. Tortilla wraps, a home made taco/sour cream sauce, sliced avacados, tomatoes, green onions and diced black olives. Nice and simple. And don't forget the cold beverages. When I am at the slip we leave a blue cooler out with beer for anyone in need.

I think I gained weight just by reading this posting.................pardon me while I go eat some food.
