Hello
I am a new boat owner and just purchase a 260 Sundancer. While getting it ready for the season I notice how hard is to keep the floors clean. Any suggestions towards synthetic or other products that can solve this. Thanks!!!

If its carpet I've learned 2 things. 1 NO SHOES NAKED FEET ONLY.
and 2 carry a vacuum and learn to live with it until u change over to wood floors.
Carpet is a pita . Depending on the crowd I throw down towels or like I said just deal woth ot and clean in when your done. I'm converting to wood this winter. Then ill just have to carry a swiffer. Cant wait

+1 on the bare feet rule. My wife boat a small stick vacuum for $30 at target. Our boat has the snap in covers that can be thrown in the wash easily...nice feature to add and cheaper than wood flooring.

I would like to find a lower cost option than the $600.00 - $1,000 carpet. I like the carpet up top but damn, Lots of $$$ for what it is.

I second the no shoes rule, we never wear shoes on our boat and never did on our 20' cuddy that we had before this boat.
When we sold the cuddy I got a lot of comments on how clean it was.
We also don't wear shoes in our house, keeps it cleaner as well.

I have the same rule but even with barefoot you still see some dirt. I was just trying to get an idea of what to do but I guess is either synthetic or continuous cleaning...

Hey guys:
I know the 1/3 rule for gas consumption but really I just want a rough idea as to what range I have with a 350 mag and 84 gal gas tank. Trying to plan my trips but I am in the middle of everywhere I want to go but the distance is around 80 to 100 miles roundtrip. Any suggestions!!!

I get real time consumption numbers for my 260DA on my chartplotter in my boat. My fuel burn numbers are shown in this posting....... http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/4189-Fuel-burn-numbers-for-my-2006-260DA?highlight=fuel+burn

As you can see, when up on plane you can expect slightly less than 2 Nautical miles (a nautical mile is 1.15 road miles) per gallon

I just did this last fall. I used Home Depot "Home Legends" Scraped Maple Sedona. I cannot say enough good things about this stuff. Its Engineered Hardwood Flooring, click and lock. It acts like wood and is easy to work with. Its installed as a floating floor, so no glue. It has a real wood top layer and looks fantastic. We tested a board to see how well it would hold up to water and I was surprised after a week submerged it did not delamenate or even stain! Best part was the price. I did the cabin floor for around $200.00 Very easy to clean and so far holds up well. Highly recommended.

Did u do the stairs as well? If so do u have pictures. My plan was to do it last winter but that failed so this winter I should get to it. It looks great

No, not yet, but they are on my list of things to do. I also need to find some kind of trim that would work and that I would like. For now we just keeping fighting to keep the stair carpet clean, lol. I still need to find time to do the small section of floor in the forward berth as well, but summers here and I am getting lazy. I did manage to find time to install a much needed cabin table though. You know how bad the 330EC's need one.

I’ve given up on rug in the cockpit. Without it the cockpit is easy to rinse out and scrub as needed. Overall, we hose off our feet if they are sandy and keep a towel folded on the floor at the back to wipe our feet. Any foot prints are wiped up with the towel.

I'm not sure whether or not this is breaking the rules of vendor posting, and if so, I apologize. Feel free to delete the post. But if you're looking for something that you can still remove, Aquafusion is a looped PVC vinyl. It's used by Malibu Boats as an optional upgrade from carpet, and the response has been great. If you want to read some unbiased feedback, here is a thread from The Malibu Crew about it a while back

If you're looking for a product that's adhered to the deck, and still somewhat easy to clean, I'd recommend Seadek products. I have no affiliation, but I've heard nothing but good things from a few friends that have it in their boats.

The trim for the stairs is were I was going with asking if u did your stairs. I cannot for the life of me figure out what material to use. The bullnose and turns are tough to find. If and when you figuee out something please inform me? How did the table comeout? And yes I do know how bad u need a table! I use the stairs as a table but there's always that person that as soon as u put your foot down they open the door and put there foot right in the plate or as soon as u put your beer down they knock it over.

I will surely let you know. Won't be getting to it until fall though. The table turned out really well. I will get a picture posted as soon as I can. The table worked out very well and makes life very easy. I never liked the Sea Ray design that forces you to take apart the forward berth just to eat.
