We have an owl that lives in the piling by our slip. I haven't been able to get a picture but we see him/her often. And we see the evidence of his existence. Man they crap a lot.:smt101

Sea Gulls everywhere. Yes that is a mess. Also have fiddler crabs and raccoons.

Cool pic Richard. Almost looks like a hood ornament. (Grin)
As to the picture of the rubber chicken, I'm not sure I want to know why they have a picture of a rubber chicken on there boat(Grin)

I saw a tip printed in a cruising book or magazine a couple of years ago suggesting giving sea birds a more attractive place to perch than your railing. The author cut a length of broomstick or dowel (I suppose an old broken cane pole would do as well), and fastened it athwart his bow pulpit railing with bungee cords, so that several feet of stick hung over each side of the rail, and wound the bungee cords diagonally around the stick inboard of the rails so that only the outer parts would be good perches for birds. This way their s#$t lands in the water, and not on your deck. Don't know if this works or not, but it's a cheap solution so it may be worth the experiment.
