Bimini Trip 2013

Shaun,

I am leaving Friday from Miami. I plan to depart at dawn to catch the sunrise on the way. I could adjust so that we meet along the way or you can get a slip at my Marina http://www.miamidade.gov/parks/parks/matheson_marina.asp I'll adjust to your schedule so we may make the crossing together.

Thanks so much for the offer. As things progress and get closer ill be in touch.

I like that idea. Where do you keep your boat?

Right now we are in Daytona but will be moving it tomorrow morning to Ft. Pierce, Harbortown Marina for a least a year. After that, we may move it again but probably further south unless we really like the Ft. Pierce area.

I have 2 other boats coming down with me from Daytona but neither can make the trip to Bimini this time but they are open to another trip in the summer sometime as well.

I'm still going to be be optimistic about making the Bimini run, but if we can't get the time off from the new jobs maybe we can at least make the raft up. You guys thinking of doing it Weds night and then leaving thurs?

I love raft-ups but fort pierce is about 74 miles from Delray. We venture up as far as Palm Beach and stay at a marina near the inlet. WPB is about 60 miles from you. Let me know what you are thinking

When you guys decide let me know so I can plan where I'll launch:grin: What if we all met at Bahia Mar that wednesday??

Has anyone going on this trip thought up of a activities plan once we get to Big Game??

Big Game offered the Hemingway Lounge for a private dinner buffet just for our group. If you haven't been in there, it is a nice room/lounge, fully restored and not open to the public. it is the room right next to the pool. They said we could book the room as soon as all our reservations are made

We could also have a BBQ night where we grill out and eat at the picnic area. If any of you think you can beat me at ring toss, You're ON !!!

food for thought.....

Day One (Thursday) - no plans other than get there safely, meet and greet dockside, dinner as you wish
Friday - boat trip to ?????, Hemingway lounge for buffet dinner with everyone
Saturday - boat trip to ??????, dinner as you wish or BBQ, night out at Big Johns
Sunday - ??????? (insert activity here)

By the way, Anyone wanting to rent a golf cart while we are there better reserve one now. There are 2 guys on the island that rent them. also, rent the gas cart, to the battery cart.

I'm in. Taking my 185 Sport. Shouldn't be a problem, right?

*kidding*, sounds like a fun trip. One day when my boat grows up (lol, or doubles in size) I'd like to make this trip!
