Bimini top holders

Howdy -

I made these in order to secure my bimini while trailering. I didn't want it up while driving at 70mph, but if it was laying down, it rubbed on the cover and back hatch, so I made these little brackets. I now have a tower that I strap the bimini to, so I don't need these anymore.

How about $30 for the pair?

funny thing I just made one for my boat this weekend. on my last boat I could lay it down on the cockpit floor now the only place it will fit is in the cabin, I made mine so the cockpit cover will fit over the top

I thought about it, but wasn't sure how much interest they would be. I've had the tower for a couple of years now and actually just found these in my shed, which is why I'm putting them up here. Maybe someone can get some use out of my design.

Did you have to add the anchors to the boat for the holders or are they part of the top?

The anchors on the boat are part of the bimini. The holders latch in to where the back leg of the bimini goes when set up completely.

How tall ate they (from ball mount to base where top fits)? I was looking at making something simmilar for our 290 to simplify towing and racking, but not sure if these are tall enough based on where my aft deck mounts are already.

Bringing up this old thread. Sorry for never replying zboaterctf.... I'll measure them tonight if you're still interested. I think they are ~6" in height.
