Bimini pad eyes aka strap eyes

Yay! I found the thread for this!

do y’all know if this would be the same size for the 2000 240 SD?

I spoke to Great Lakes and they sent me pictures of the 101060 strap eye. It looks to be the correct one. I ordered 10 of them. I'll follow up here in a few days once i have them in hand.

Espos4,

I'm in the same boat as th OP. Both my port and starboard eye straps are wearing through and will need to be replaced. I looked on the Great Lakes Skipper website and can't find item 101060. The person I'm working with there asked for a picture of one. Would you mind snapping a picture and posting it? Or could I buy two off you for my boat?

Thabks for any help! Have a great day!

Thats because it is Great Lakes Boat Top and not Great Lakes Skipper that he referenced. If @Espos4 does not have any more laying around I can get them for you from GLBT as we are a distributor for them. The shipping will probably be more than the parts though. If more people are in need let me know and I can probably order and stock them.

Thanks, Kevin! I screwed that up. Seems like there are lots of "Great Lakes" companies out there. The GLBT doesn't have an option on their website to order these types of things. Are the ones that Westland have (part #7031) the same one? They allow orders through their website.

Thanks so much, I would order them. I have been trying to find them for a while. To be sure, this is for the eye with the hole-center to hole-center length = 1-1/8" as shown in the OP's photos, correct?

I would have to look into that or call to confirm. Westland and Great Lakes Boat Top are both owned and operated from the same location however they have different part numbers for products they share.

The part number was confirmed by @Espos4 in an earlier post as being 1-1/8 between opening. I did a little research with GLBT and followed up that there were two different strap eyes with the difference between the standard ones that are chrome/nickle that Sea Ray used and the highback which were stainless and typically used on Boston Whalers with larger clips.

I have some extras. Just need to find them. PM me your address and I’ll send you 2 of them.

Looks like they are the right size.
They were and exact replacement on my 1999 180BR. I also bought new SS oval head screws that were #8 x 3/4" that also went in the existing holes and tightened good.

Because of all the work we do with Great Lakes Boat Top several people have asked me about replacing these strap eyes. Due to the interest and the need to have them locally for replacement we have recently started stocking them. My initial stocking order was sourced directly from Great Lakes Boat Top. If anyone needs some of these please feel free to contact me.
