Does anyone have a recommendation for what brand or type of waste line I should use? I want to replace the 1 1/2" hose that goes from the head to the vacuum pump because it's starting to smell. The original hose is the black rubber stuff but I want to switch to the heavy white vinyl type but there seems to be alot of choices and different prices. I need about 30' to do the job so I don't want to spend a fortune on this stuff and I was hoping someone may have some advice on what's the best bang for the buck. Any thoughts?? Mark

Don't cheap out on this piping Mark or you may be re-doing it sooner than necessary. FYI You should try doing some research ... this stuff is easy to find. http://www.ardemco.com/sealand/accessories.html

Sealand only, before you do this nasty job, I would double check all hose clamps and tank vent. Your boat is not old enough, that it should need new lines. Our boat is 1991 with original lines, NO smell at all

SeaLand, no doubt. I'm replacing mine after 20 years although is not smelling at all.

Before starting the job, just flush several gallons of water from the bowl through the system. Doing so you will find very little of the unpleasant substance

I'm kind of surprised myself that the hose is smelling. I'll definitely check on the clamp situation but I seem to be getting a smell in every compartment that the hose passes through even though they're sealed. Thanks for the advice. Mark

Get a couple of pieces of paper towel or thicker shop towels (the blue roll) and wipe a separate piece around 2 or 3 different sections of the hose. Then take the paper off the boat and smell the paper towels. If they are smelly, the hose may be an issue.

I think I'll give that a try. Don't want to replace that hose if I don't have to. Thanks, Mark
