best repair manual

Did you try Mercruiser?

I located the above link on Ebay for a complete Mercruiser set of manuals on CD-ROM. You can also check on Ebay or elsewhere for the printed versions, the ones you need are...

Engine Manual - Mercuiser Manual#9 (part# 90-14499)
Sterndrive Manual - Manual#6 (part # 90-129340

I can feel your pain about the Seloc manual...it and the Clymer manual are both garbage compared to the Merc manuals...but we've all been duped into buying one before we found the Merc ones.

I wasted $35 today buying the seloc repair manual for mercruiser stern drives.

Oh well. Consider it a learning experience.

OK, I gather the Seloc and Clymer manuals are not good ...
Anyone have a link to the "best" manual for mercruiser bravo3 sterndrive ... vintage 2002 - 2003?

HUH!... I thought the SELOC were pretty good, Comparing to a Clymer anyway.

If I was rebuilding Drives and Engines I would for sure want the OEM manuals.

I bought both the #6 and #9 manuals on Ebay. Well worth the money. I've also viewed youtube video on removing sterndrive and bellows.

Can you guys help me confirm the right manual. I think I need the #31 manual for my 2008 5.0. Am I right? It seems to be printed in 2004. Is my 2008 still covered with that? From what everyone is saying, can I assume the diagrams are better in the Merc manual than they are in the Seloc? I was certainly one of those guys who thought the purchased Seloc manual left a bit to be desired.
