Hello! The Attwood V900 automatic Bilge Pump on my 240DA has died and I need to replace it. I was looking around at different brands and thought I had one picked out and then I read the reviews and yanked it from the cart online. So I look at others and they too have horrible reviews. The amazon reviews are all over the place and i'm not sure I can trust them anyway. For West Marine the reviews are mostly just bad. I want to buy something that has a powerful enough pump and will last if that is even possible these days with cheap manufacturing. Anyone have a suggestion that I can count on to replace the automatic bilge pump?

Best Regards,

Nice, Just bought an Attwood 800 on ebay for less Then $20. It says on the package replaces the v series.

My boat has a standard manual bilge pump with a stand alone float switch. What is the advantage of a automatic sump besides being more compact?

From the way I understand it, it's just an all in one solution. I believe you can get a manual bilge pump and have the float switch hooked up to that and it is basically the same, just in two pieces.
