My 56 sedan bridge came with a 60lb stainless anchor. Not sure if it was original. We anchor almost every weekend and many times we have boats rafted off of us. After a recent trip to Chicago, I had trouble getting it to bite and had no idea why. When I investigated further, I found that it was actually torsionally twisted (pic attached). No idea how it happened as we didn't need to yank it ever. I wound up with an 88b Lewmar galvanized Delta from Defender Marine (the only company I could find to get it delivered before our trip to MI on 7/20). I chose the galvanized considering I bent a stainless one and the stainless was FIVE times more $$ ($650 vs. $3,200). Won't be as pretty on the bow but it will stick in the bottom just fine... Installing the new one this weekend and I will update.
