Is that white stuff on the walls salt veins or just water stains ??.

The main thing you see is the calcium ring or "Bathtub Ring" from full pool as others have said. The streaking on the canyon walls is from the natural calcium and minerlals that come out of the sandstone during rain storms and what not which stain the walls and make the tapistries.
