Question:
Fellow CSR members:
I need your help and feedback -
I am looking to relocate from my current marina in PA to the Bay area. I would like to know what you think the best/closest marina would be if I was coming off of RT 70 from PA. Our intention is long weekends; probably 8-10 excursions per season. We have family that live close to Annapolis - any feedback would be helpful.

Harrington Harbor South is a really cool marina just south of Annapolis... It was considered one of the best marinas in the US...

Coming from PA I'm assuming that you'd like to be on the Eastern Shore.

Anchor in the North East - Long boat ride to anything fun.
Skipjacks, Duffy Creek and Georgetown Yacht - all on the sassafras.

To me Fairlee Creek has a great location to go for nice trips.

By "RT 70" do you mean Interstate 70? I live just off of I-70 at exit 68 in Maryland. I find that in about an hour you can be to most of the upper bay marinas. Of course the closest would be the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. I would suggest looking in the Middle River area or if you want to split the difference to Annapolis, something in Pasadena and Bodkin Creek.

I would suggest Castle Harbor Marina on Kent Island. A quiet marina with a pool and the other usual things. Close to good resturants and easy access to anywhere in the middle bay area. Stop in and check it out Tell them I sent you

I like the Great oak marina at Fair Lee Creek... But having been a transient in many marinas on the bay... Harrington Harbor South is hard to beat...
