Hello, I had to let everyone know that I just re-dyed my vinyl seats and the product I used is awesome. My seats are white and blue. I accidently spilled some pvc pipe cleaner-purple on one of the seats, not much but I tried everything to get it out. I came across a website which sells vinyl/leather dyes and I thought I would give it a try. I bought the white dye and the application is simple. Just use a damp sponge and rub the dye onto the surface, let dry and apply as many coats as you need. My seats look like new again and I also re-dyed my jetski seat gray which also looks new. I would highly recommend this product if your seats need a makeover.

Manufacturer and pictures please, sounds great.
Thanks

I will post pics later today. Just follow the Weblink that I posted and you will get to the manufacturer. They have various colors and you can even totally change the color of your vinyl if you wish.

Just visited the website freygreer provided. The have some pretty impressive before/after pics. 8oz. bottle was just $39.95. Thanks for the tip freygreer.

I am really looking forward to your pics. This looks like a great product.

Avoid getting it wet or the dye will reactivate? Watch the Video.

What video are you referring to? Keeping a boat seat from getting wet would not be easy...

Thanks,
Bennett

I think its ok...... this stuff is worth a try before replacing vinyl

Can I use Rub 'n Restore on boats?
Rub 'n Restore is suitable for use on boat vinyls. Because it is a water-based product, it must be allowed to thoroughly cure before exposure to water or wet towels, bathing suits, bodies, etc. Marine vinyls may need to be touched up more often because of their frequent interaction with water. For this reason, dramatic color changes (white to blue or red to black) are discouraged. Please read about cure time.

That was his last post and visit to the site so maybe it didn't turn out too well or he works for them?

I called the place and they said that it's not really for marine use.

I used Dupli-Color spray on my deck chair with great results. There were mold stains on the chair when I bought it from a garage sale and expected they would bleed through but, they didn't. We sit in it with wet bathing suits all the time with no staining on our back side and that's with a full summer of use.
