I’m working a refit show in pompano fl for the boating industry and the owner of arid stopped by to BS
Interesting concept
We all hate water and any water creates moisture and odors wherever it’s collecting

$1700 retail for two zones
I vacuum my bilge regularly but it’s non stop
Yes you try to stop the leaks but you can’t 100%

Just seeing if anyone has any info on these or a similar product

There have been a few DIY threads from folks who built a similar system.

I hear you on the leaks and it takes forever (and can be very frustrating) but after two years with our 410 I have managed to eliminate any ingress of water whatsoever. Now its all about maintenance - I'll rebed all the stanchions this year, port hole windows after than, replace all the windshield gaskets, and I'm due for a repack of the rudders

Here's a youtube of a DIY version of the dry bilge

I could see a huge benefit to these systems in very large boats with complex bilge systems for sure. Our 410 is really only two bilges, fore and aft, but some 60'+ they have two engine rooms, multiple separate floor bilge compartments, voids under the heads, etc., so having the pickups everywhere you can't reach makes a ton of sense

Grand pop used to say "Can't means won't", that was 50+ years ago and I have learned that to be the absolute truth.

This is another option. Not cheap, but still less than an Arid Bilge. https://www.dinghydavits.com/products/dry-bilge-systems?variant=41212655829176

Arid Bilge looks nice, but it’s really expensive - they sure proud of it.

I know a few people that have had one installed. They said it worked but was noisy when it operated. Arid Bilge works by pumping on a set intervals. The one I linked to pumps when liquid is detected.

From looking and searching on here i think the 500w are recommended for the QSM11s which hold about 7.5 gallons of oil.

My CATs are 6+ gallons each and 150w is great for mine, I'd be afraid at 500w that you'd be burning oil or peeling paint.

I have the Arid 2 zone system.
Think I’m on my 3rd year with it.
Does what it’s designed to do..
I use standard drip shaft packing so, during a run I get a small amount of water in the bilge.
The Arid machine works well for this..
