I guess its too late to ask, but does anyone have experience with Aquaguard water based ablative bottom paint? I did my 330 today (painfull process with snow and ice between the boats, see pics). Seemed to go on well but it was a cool day at about 55 degrees. I had heard it dries fast which can cause application difficulties in warm weather. That was not a problem today.

Does it last more than one season in fresh water?

Excuse the scum line on this pic. It will be gone tomorrow. I should have done it last fall when it came out but it was too cold that day and only got colder. Probably should have done it before the bottom paint, but its supposed to rain tomorrow and I wanted to get it done today.

The boat yard where the previous owner kept the boat used Aquaguard. So we had it on 1 season (plus however many coats were under it), seemed fine, came out of the water fairly clean, it handled the pressure wash with no problems and it is holding the Petit Hydrocoat that I put on it last year very well. I was at the yard today checking it out. I went back to Hydrocoat just because it is what I had been using on our last boat.

Unfortunately Hydrocoat cannot be sold in Canada (except as already put on a new Sea Ray) so have to find an alternative.

Well, haul out for winter was today. I was curious how the Aquaguard held up. I can report that the paint held up really well. There was some algae slime but really not much. A quick pressure washer blast cleaned it right up. It appears that most of it still on and it looks like i wont need to paint in the spring I'll post some end of season comparison pics once I have the camera at the boat. Today was pouring rain for the haul and blocking.
