Apeiron Tri Color Light Installation Question

We use our existing switch at the helm. Works fine for us. THe light have an off position so there is moment when the switch will be on but no light. Toggle switch on and off and the light switches, off, red, white, blue, off red, etc. I think that is the order in which they switch.

Nice! I gotta have a pair of them for the Arch then.

did they retrofit into existing holes in the arch or was some Dremel needed? I am going to measure the hole size in mine and get them ordered. Spring or Srew then is the question. I do not mind the light leak somewhat as I can see it might look nice as well. As long as nobody get blinded.

I'm sold.....going to order today.

Two final questions for those that have already installed these lights:
1. Can I splice into the existing wiring that runs to my current lights in the arch?
This will eliminate having to snake new wiring to the lights from the panel.
2. As I am buying two of the lights, do they both sync to the same color automatically when the switch is turned on.

Thanks in advance for all of the help.

Some dremel work is needed to enlarge the hole a little....easy install though. Light leak around the bezel is still colored and will not blind anyone. If we are on the boat this weekend I will try and get a picture. But right now, heavy rain and wind through most of the weekend. Spoiled most plans for boating in the entire state of FL it seems. We were going to Palm Coast this weekend, been scrubbed just like the shuttle landing for now.

davfin,
to answer your 1st question, Yes just splice them into the existing wires, no issues.
2nd question, Yes they both sinc to the same color (good question, never thought about that whn I purchased them).

Thanks "rumrunner" perfect answers in my estimation. Looking forward to receipt of the lights and the install.

Thanks again to all.

Hey, I'm thinking of picking up the Apeiron LEDs from Jim for the arch in my 300DA. Was there any consensus on screw type vs clip? I would prefer not to have to widen out the holes.

Thanks!

I installed in 2009. Perfect fit in the existing light fixtures in the arch. A little splicing of wires and I was set. Worked like a charm and install was very easy.
