Anyone taking a long weekend

I am.
I stay in as long as possible....but looks like this will be our last island camping weekend. They take most of the docks out for the winter by now, but leave a few in for us late boaters...I'll be running the heat though...I'm sure!
 
Not a long week end but the last night on the boat on the hook is this Friday. Then it's back to the dock to do maintenance for several days. Boat gets pulled a week from Friday.
 
Looking forward to spending the weekend on the hook. Nice cool nights sleeping out on the bow wraped up inside the Eddie Bauer. This time of year nighttime low 60's perrrrfect.
 
Sadly, my boat is already out. I will be thinking about my boat though....if that counts. Hope everyone has a safe weekend.
 
Yeah, I know what you guys mean. The temp is already down in the 80's. Hard to sleep without the noise of the AC running. I guess I will have to start thinking about pulling out the boat in a few.....wait a minute! I leave my boat in the water all year. Oh yeah, I'll just turn on a little heat and enjoy boating all year.

Whew, that was close. I got so caught up commiserating with you guys that I almost made a horrible blunder. I think I'll go down and hug my boat tomorrow. :grin:
 
I'm hoping for a couple more weekends boating...2 weekends of house honey doo's, then breaking out the snowmobiles. I put them away in March, then get the boat back out in late April.

I thank God for the winter... I could not afford to boat year round, especially in California where the gas is $5 a gallon...
