See lot's of 42/44 DA's with a mirror or something heavy hanging in this spot (see below). The shower is on the opposite side of that bulkhead. Any trick to hanging something safely there? Thanks!

cut back the vinyl at the attachment device and tack adhesive the vinyl along the cut, and use strong adhesive instead of screws into the bulkhead. French Cleat style wouldn't work, and suspension wire would probably be annoying with the constant straightening... perhaps a keyhole, if you're able to purchase a mirror that mounts this way... if you have the ability to cut the keyhole into the mirror yourself, I would place one horizontal and one vertical. Slide into the horizontal first, than rotate the frame into the vertical... would make it difficult for a lurching motion of the boat to unseat the mount. It will also ride flatter to the surface and minimize chatter against the wall and frame while underway.

Instead of heavy mirror maybe consider "Plexiglass Mirror". It looks just like a mirror, very light, can be cut to any size, and can be fastened with 3M double tape (commercial grade only). I have this in my boat and love it. Wish I could show you some pics but don't have them right now. You can get this at many hardware stores. Check it out
