I love to watch TV before bed but sometimes with kids on board its hard to do so I was thinking of a smaller TV/DVD combo for my cockpit and wondered if anyone else has installed one and where?

The previous owner of my boat had one mounted on the arch on starboard side... He put a 110 plug and cable connection connected to the KVH sat... The TV was removed before I bought the boat, and since I am not big on watching TV on boat, we did not replace the cockpit TV...

I have one that I place on my wet bar when I'm docked. It's hooked up to my KVH and I use it exactly as you described. The kids downstairs either watching their tv or asleep. I can hang in the cockpit and chill out with sports, HBO or whatever. It's a nice addition!

My last boat was a 340, I installed the TV over the wet bar using a mount that Sea Ray uses in the Sport Yachts. I choose a 12V TV so that it could be watched without having to run the generator.

I still have the TV with the pole portion of the mount if you are interested?
