Here's mine. The only time the cover came off Old Skool was to make sure no one had relieved me of any equipment during the summer.

Payments 0.00
Fuel 0.00
Repairs 0.00
Trailer Main. 0.00
Time on water 0.00
Total cost 2011 0.00
Admiral ticked off at captain.
Captain ticked off at work.
Work relocating everyone after first of the year.

I hope everyone was able to get more out of their boating season than I did.

What MonacoMike said.... and I can relate as I sold my 210 Monaco back in April... but thanks to Escapade (Mike) and Scott Ferguson and Destiny I was able to get out on the water a couple of times..

That's what my 2010 season was like, only add $250/mo for dry storage. 2011 was better, but we got a late start due to apathy (almost got rid of boat) and a really crummy and late summer in Seattle. This off-season I'm going to stay engaged by working on all those projects I've been putting off so I keep the passion and excitement come the first few nice days come spring.....

Oh, and here's to a MUCH better 2012 boating season! :smt038

Is this to include purchase of a new boat? Before selling the old? Twin engines are more costly. :)

Old skool wow man sorry to hear about your summer man... hope the next is much better... as for cost of summe a few years ago I added it up and it scared me pretty bad so I decided to enjoy it and just write the check..... sdarc congrats on the new vessel and oldskool good luck on a new one ;)

I can't say that I've done much better this year. A grand total of 3 times getting wet this summer, including one trip to Douglas that brought me home with a broken skeg and a sadly bent stainless prop, total repairs @ $150. I'm eyeing this weekend as my last real chance, schedule wise, to get out, at least for the day, maybe to Santeetlah or James. Then the sadness of winterization looms heavy on the horizon.

So... does anyone else ever peel the covers back on a half decent winter day and just kinda soak in sitting in the boat and thinking about all the things you could spend your pesos on?

In adding up seasonal cost for boating; friends, new boatingfriends, places been by boat, sun rises, sun sets, warm evening breezes comingoff the lake for a nice nap (PRICLESS) A summer of boating missed is one thatwill never be found again.

And the congregation said AMEN!

A good year is when you spend more money on gas than everything else combined...:smt038

I don't like to think about it but if I had to guess I would say we spent as much on beer and food as we did in gas.

Half decent day in the winter we'll call the marina to tell them to put the boat in the water and warm it up. Heater, Refer, Toilet, No Storm = Day Cruise

Season costs
Savings Balance = $0
Boat Cost = All savings account

Ouch Larry!! lol

Yep, Boatless this summer and saved about $8.000 by not owning one.. :smt038 .

Lets see,

96 Hours so far this season (fuel!!!)....
New Interior Carpet....
New Exterior Carpet....
Oil Changes and Tune Up....
New Windlass Foot Controls....
New Aft Deck Dodger Boards....
Complete New Canvas End Of Last Year And Beginning Of This Year....
New Zincs....
Bottom Job Scheduled For Fall....
Slip....
Storage....

I would rather not add it up, I have a ballpark number in my head but I prefer not to know the exact amount. This was one of the best summers on Lake Michigan even though we had a late start I have never put 96 hours on in a season (The boat only has 807). Some of the best times of my life bar none.

Fuel to date = $1,100
Entire year slip = $2,400
Maintenance = $1,000
Transient stuff = $1,000
Upgrades = $200
=====================
TOTAL = ~$6,000

Still have another month of boating to go and then winterizing. Will probably run another $500 of gas before laying her up.
