Anybody here tie up at Tice's Shoal? Barnegat, Bay, NJ

Just wondering is anyone here ties up at Tice's Shoal in Barnegat Bay, NJ? If so I'm thinking next season we might use this forum to coordinate tie ups if there is any interest. It would be nice to put face on some of the CSR members.

Yes... But we prefer some other spots that are less crowded... We went last year for Aquapaluza, and had a good time... A 38 Sea's anchor started dragging with out anyone on the boat... It hit a few boats... Made quite a scene, if you weren't in its path...

To answer your question, we would like to join your raft up at Tices Shoal...

Tices is too Busy, besides when Frank shows up he only brings One Six Pack and it's usually Near Beer!!
We go to the "Secret Spot"!

I do Tices upon occassion. . . never do "F" cove. We actually end up down near Island Heights on a regular basis; then hit Water's edge on the way home.

"Nobody goes to Tice shoal anymore because its too crowed" Yogy Berra....

I am all for a CSR raft up at Tices, or anywhere else this summer... If RonDDS organizes it, it will be very well attended... Ron is by far, the nicest guy I know on the water, and the defacto ring leader of all successful CSR raft ups that I have participated in... You all are welcome at my house, but I may have to borrow my neighbors docks to fit everyone... I supply the beer and get the band... BTW RonDDS plays in the rock and roll band, which is, IMHO very good... I this he has a gig this Friday...

I'm in too! Normally "secret spot" on weekends........Tices during the week......and Pine Beach area of Toms River for overnighters.

Dave,

I can't understand why I have not run into you... We like to go to those places too... Plus we hang out at your marina and pretend we have a slip there... We especially the the eye openers and pancake breakfast... Next time you plan an over night at wind cove in pine beach we would like to raft up... Alex keeps his boat at Light house and he is always up for a raft up...

Dave for the life of me I can't understand why we have not run into each other... We hang out in your marina and pretend we own the place, and we go to all the places you mentioned... We are always up for raft up and our favorite place to overnight is in Windy cove at Pine Beach... Lets plan a raft up this summer with a dinner and over night at pine beach... We can dinging over to Down town and have a blast... Maybe we can get Brian to take his boat out... ...

NANSEA,

Next time at Dillons's check Dock Nine. I am the unofficial Dock Nine Mayor. Look for Chrissie B 2 on the water. July 4 at the fireworks on the river I am normally rafted up with 12 to 16 boats, mostly Dillons, just off the golf course.

Dave, Look forward to it... You guys might want to join us for an overnight at High Bar Harbor... We bring our bikes, and bike over to Barnegat Light... Alex F brings the Euro tunes and we blast out the sail boats with our loud music... Here's picture from our boat this past summer...

Yeah Rod, do we have some stories about HBH? This place has it all. Remember your "entry ticket price" during the storm in 2010?......

Here are couple shots on how inviting the place can be:

This is 2011 season, on a nice day we heard a warning on the radio of fast storm coming with 50MPH winds.

About 10-15 min later these 3 sailboats will collide due to dragging anchors (why is that sounds familiar?).

Collision #1 took place.

And finally all goes back to normal.

High Bar Harbor.

You're right next to Rudy "My Summer". HBH is about 15 min ride for you.

Alex, The last shot you posted was of the "Sail Boat" that got in the way of our repositioning in the Storm of 2010... The nicest part about HBH is the water is very clean (no jellys), private beach, an interesting town to visit (on the Forbes top 100 small towns in the US) and far enough from home that you feel like your that escaped from the normality of life... Here's a picture looking at the beach:
