Any one else on from Milwaukee?

Hey guys, some additional insight needed if you could. Would access to McKinley and/or Lakeshore Marinas be blocked due to the "safety zone" that the marine police/USCG enforce for the Air Show? TIA.

The safety zone will be outside the breakwall to the North. There will be full access to marinas. The "North Gap" will have limited access due to the Safety Zone. I'll check w/ Eric manager of McKinley Marine too see if a map can be obtained and post. Mike

Can I watch the Air Show from my boat?
Since the Milwaukee Air & Water Show is flown over Lake Michigan, it is great to watch from a boat. Please keep your boat behind the safety area marked by the U. S. Coast Guard to safely enjoy the show.

Above is the text from the Show web site - we have watched it from two milesto the east of Bradford Beach and also from inside the breakwall off of Veterans Park - toward the art center.

This is awesome information -- thanks much!

We are coming up from southport marina, and suggestions on where best to throw the hook for the show?

Trying again... For those of you who sit in the water for the show, where do you anchor?

Best place flat water is just East of Bradford Beach outside the Safe zone. This is a diagnal rectanular box from the North Break Wall North to the Filter. The marina can e-mail you a snap shot of a chart sowing the Safe Zone. Draw a line throught the center length of the safe zone ( North To South ) and that is the Jet Flight Path. You can sit under the South end and be pretty close. There is also Navy ships in town w/ safe zones around them. If you would like PM me w/ your e-meil and I can send info / maps. Mike
