Took delivery of my swimplatforms.com platform in February and it's been a long wait. Installed it today with a friend and it took 3.5 hrs. The job went well with no trouble. Here are some pics although I forgot to take a pic of the 16 holes in my boat when we removed the platform to apply the sealant around the holes.

un-crated in my garage

I took the packing crate apart and made a working stand

on the stand and starting to get it in position

a good shot of bottle jacks in front and my small floor jack in back....tightly in place and ready for holes to be drilled.

Holes from inside....I marked the platform and my helper drilled as I kept close watch inside. I unfastened the main wire harness from transom.

That looks very nice...now, don't forget it is back there! I noticed on one of your pictures (2nd to the last one)...is the trim tab annode on the bottom of the tab?

That looks really nice.

Did you epoxy those holes so if you get any leaks around the sealant the core won't get wet?

No epoxy....I'm lazy I guess. It is above the water line. Yes anode on the bottom of tab.

Very nice, David! It makes it like a whole new boat back there, huh?

Luv it! I'm just going to have to do this. Have to be next year though. As Gary said it on another thread today, I gave the government 1 1/2 jetskis today, the goodie store is closed for a while.

You will love the added open space back there, it looks great!

Next best thing to a bigger boat. I could not detect any performance hits from mine. Prepare to learn the hard way about the blowholes when you're sitting on the platform in cold water and a wake hits it just right. :)

Bottle jacks are the way to go ...

It is very solid. The company rep said brackets are not needed for my boat unless I would have a jet ski on it (not practical for a 290 anyway). Looking forward to a great season with my new back porch.

I've just installed mine yesterday and it looks great!!! I do not know why I didn't make it before...

Pics to come!

As far as the down rods, if you look at his first picture of the platform before installation, you'll notice a flat smooth part that fits under the molded swim platform and is bolted. This makes it more stable.

Cleared for landing!

Brakets definitely needed:
