Where can I find an anchor like this that fits my 410DA? I purchased a 35lb Delta and it does not fit! These pictures are from another 410 and it seems the 380DA has this same anchor but I am not familiar with the brand.

I have the 35 lb. delta as well. How is yours different from the picture you posted?

You could plate it, but it wouldn't last. It would just scratch/flake off. It's either keep the Manganese Steel model, or go with the Stainless for triple the cost.

Sea Rays used to come with the "Delta" style anchor provided by Lewmar. Not sure about the current supplier.

Many of the later model Sport Cruisers and Sport Yachts have Kodiak Anchors. I called and they wanted close to $1,000 for a Kodiak Stainless 25lb anchor. No thanks.

That anchor is butt ugly and is in a bad need of a trip to the chrome shop!!

I looked at two 2000 380DA's next to me and the pictures above were from a 2001 410DA and they all have that same funky looking anchor. The problem is that is what fits the boat!

I believe the anchor in the picture is a CQR anchor. I have the same one on my 2000 40' sundancer.

You might check and see if the anchor chute is the same....it might be shaped differently, or bent somehow.

And BTW, you might suggest to the guy who owns the boat in the picture that he attach his lanyard to the anchor, not the chain.

That jumped out at me but my relative inexperience demon warned me to keep my mouth shut, least I be chastised for not knowing the real reason the owner hooked it to the chain.

My lanyard only reaches the chain. Is this a problem? The only potential issues I can think of involve catastrophic failure of the chain or swivel. MM

You're right....It's not a big deal. The only time it would even matter is if you had the rode disconnected from the anchor for some reason, or if there was a break of the clevice/swivel that attaches the chain to the anchor.

Like a lot of people here, I'm just looking for something to comment on....

I agree with Jason78, it looks like the same shape anchor I have made by Kodiak. I bent mine severly recently on a hang up and went looking for a replacement. Ended up having a machine shop straighten it out perfectly, but labeled on the anchor was Kodiak, including a web address that was no longer valid. I did find the units on line through searches, but never needed to actually purchase. I would bet Kodiak supplied many OEM anchors to Sea Ray and that the chutes, etc. were made to fit the exact shape of their anchors.

Good luck

Looks like I have to look into a Kodiak....
