Am I a bad searay owner?

FWIW, I read most of it as a chuckle--it's nice to have toys and feel like you're cheating on one when you pay attention to another.
But lighten up, folks: riding motorcycles is downright painful in torrential downpours, and no matter how plush a motor home, it loses its charm when you have to stay inside for two whole months instead of getting out and about for adventures and campfires!

(I do take you literally about not checking the boat in a long time, though....and hope that if you held true concern about danger of damage or sinking from so much rain, you'd have manned up, suited up, and fired up a dinghy or paddled a canoe if necessary to make it to the docks by now.)

Bad. Very very bad. You should be scolded. And all your toys taken away. The Benz sounds interesting - I'll volunteer for that one. And could you elaborate on the motorcycles you bad bad person.
If one's a trike, I'll get in line for that one.

not sure about the real reason for your post....was it to brag about all your toys and how you have so many you can't maintain them or is it just a slow day and you needed some contact with the outside world?......

It's called a "humble brag".

Yes - BC. Yes - in the water. To make matters worse it's snowed!

I guess I'll have to drag myself down there but it is a chore. It is just so ****ty out. Ike knows exactly what I am talking about.

'humble brag' sounds like an oxymoron to me....kind of like 'government intelligence'.....

you know, I went back and re-read this thread and I have to admit I now think I initially got the wrong impression about the post....I now believe the intent was to primarily complain about the weather and rain in the NW/Canada and as a result Black Valkyrie has been unable to attend to his toys properly.....

when I first read the post yesterday my first impression was unfavorable as was shown by my initial reply....

so I will admit I was wrong and take back my critical original post....

i am sure we have all been exposed to long periods of terrible weather and 'cabin fever' sets in....then we start feeling guilty about neglecting things due to the weather...

not to mention I am a little jealous of all the 'toys'......:smt001.....

When I want to escape the weather I hop in my private plane and fly to our vacation home at Deep Water Bay. In fact my wife Eunice and I just got back. The weathers perfect this time of year. Highly recommend going. Take care, Thurston.
Your not Thurston Howell III, are you?

noun: humble brag
1.
an ostensibly modest or self-deprecating statement whose actual purpose is to draw attention to something of which one is proud.
"social media status updates are basically selfies, humblebrags, and rants"

Who would do such a thing?

Suck it up and go take care of your boat.......Are you afraid of getting wet puss-cake?

It was a term used by "Walt" (Clint Eastwood's character) in the movie Gran Torino.

Saw the movie twice.... that line never stuck with me. Was better when I thought it was a Carvel product.

The weather has been an absolute bag of **** here for the last 2 months.. and it's been that long since I've checked on my boat. I left here secured nicely with heaters in place etc, fuel treated - all good. Every day I tell myself I should go down to the docks to see her but it's raining so God damn hard every day I can't bring myself to do it.

To make matters worse I've started a love affair with the Mercedes S63 and I have an offer on the table to buy one. I really feel like I'm cheating on my boat.

My poor motor home feels even less loved!!! And don't even ask my folorned motorcycles.

First world problems, right?

seems to me you have a problem with long term commitments :)

Well finally went down to the boat. Beautiful but cold down there. Apparently neighboring marina has ice on the ocean. Boat is in great shape but some electrical issue with starboard motor. Probably cold related.
